Well, then, maybe ANY reboot would have negated the changes – that’s the only other possibility, because that was definitely the last time I saw the black screen.
Good news, though – I got a download manager to get the image successfully. Just made sure it unzipped, and I’ll check it out later – so don’t trouble yourself with the mirror on my behalf, though I appreciate it greatly. Although I would imagine others might be having the same problem.
So thanks for your effort, and I’ll report back on use of the image.
