I am a complete noob to this…
I have connected and installed all appropriate software and have an external antenna. The switch is on ‘ext’. When I try to use cat, screen, or minicom, there is no response. None. Just a cursor in the case of screen and a new blank window in the case of cat. I have let it sit for a couple of hours at the longest and am baffled. I am also by a window with nothing blocking the sky except the glass.
Any help would be great. 🙂

You are not seeing any output when using minicom?
Can you show me the output of this command
dmesg | grep tty
And what happens if you kill GPSD using this;
sudo killall gpsd
and then try minicom again
minicom -b 9600 -o -D /dev/serial0

what is the output after doing this;
sudo killall gpsd
and then try minicom again
minicom -b 9600 -o -D /dev/serial0

May 27, 2020 at 2:16 pm #15832fox6288ParticipantI restarted the pi and double checked the solder points, its scrolling now like something out of the Matrix, but it looks just like the photos that have been provided. I will continue to go down this path and let you know the result. 🙂
