So I’ve been setting up my BerryGPS-GSM with my Pi Zero and it just wont get a GPS fix. I was sat outside for over an hour waiting for a fix. I’ve also noticed that the flashing red GSM LED has also stopped.
Also, trying to set up Assisted GPS, when using the command “AT+UPSDA=0,3”, it returns with an error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

September 25, 2020 at 3:24 pm #16239Mark WilliamsKeymasterAre you using an internal or external antenna? If internal, is the switch in the “int” position?
when outside, is there clear access to sky? not near building or trees? is there anything else connected to the Pi?
How are you enabling assisted GPS?

September 25, 2020 at 9:13 pm #162400xnullParticipantThank you for your response, Mark.
I am using the internal antenna and the switch is confirmed “int”
There is always clear access to the sky when I test after reading similar posts on this forum.
I am taking it out on a walk later today to see if it’ll make a difference though whilst testing in my front and back garden, there is little obstruction, if any to the sky.
The Pi only has the BerryGPS-GSM attached.
I am enabling assisted GPS through the tutorial on ozzmaker.
Many thanks again

It has been taken to a rural area with no obstruction to the sky over the past week and no luck.

October 8, 2020 at 4:22 am #162930xnullParticipantHi Mark,
So I have just noticed that I have put this in the wrong thread as it is the BerryGPS-GSM, so I’m sorry about that.
I confirm that the link you provided is the guide I have been following.
Enclosed is the requested pictures.
Note: I know my soldering isn’t the best but I have checked with a multimeter and there is continuity throughout the pins.
Many thanks

Everything looks okay, so im not sure why it isnt working.
Can you please send an email to sales @ ozzmaker.comMark --OzzMaker.com --
October 10, 2020 at 1:00 am #163080xnullParticipantThis is an update for the sales team as I have sent an email as requested with this forum post link.
I have now got a fix via an external GPS antenna.
I would still like to diagnose why internal isn’t working though.
Many thanks for your continued support
