Hi I have downloaded and installed the pi screen image https://ozzmaker.com/piscreen/PiScreenImage-SDCard-1.8.zip and after doing the apt-get update and apt-get upgrade the calibration of the touchscreen is out. I have tried deleting calibration data and re-calibrating but get same result touching the top left of screen I see cursor, touching anywhere else I don’t see the cursor.
I tried doing the sudo TSLIB_FBDEVICE=/dev/fb1 TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/event3 ts_calibrate but still same result. Tried adding rotate=90 in boot/config.txt and re-calibrating still same result.
Any ideas would be appreciated.May 12, 2015 at 1:13 pm #3935jawoodParticipantSo I did a fresh install of above image
Did raspi-config and expanded file system, changed time timezone keyboard layout, reboot.
raspi-config and changed host name, update raspi-config, reboot.
rpi-update after reboot touchscreen is not calibrated correctly only a little out of alignment.
Run touch screen calibration from preferences menu.
now touch screen is way out will only see cursor if touch far left side of screen.May 12, 2015 at 1:45 pm #3936jawoodParticipantafter above I did apt-get update, apt-get upgrade reboot
After reboot touch screen is out of calibration still but only a little bit as before.
Ran sudo rm /etc/pointercal.xinput reboot
calibration wizard runs on boot when tapping screen on last tap get miss tap detected restarting does this 3 times then goes to desktop and calibration is out completely again only see cursor if tap far left side of screen.May 12, 2015 at 10:38 pm #3938jawoodParticipantImages of how touch screen responds
May 13, 2015 at 5:40 am #3946Mark WilliamsKeymasterI think that running calibration from the preference menu within X may be breaking it for you.
Rather than images, are you able to upload a small video?
And.. maybe you can make a backup of your SD Card, compress it and upload it somewhere so I can have look.

May 13, 2015 at 9:50 am #3951Mark WilliamsKeymasterthanks for that… I see what is happening now… your X and Y axis are swapped.
look in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc and see if you have any lines similar to below;
DISPLAY=:0 xinput --set-prop 'ADS7846 Touchscreen' 'Evdev Axes Swap' 1 DISPLAY=:0 xinput --set-prop 'ADS7846 Touchscreen' 'Evdev Axis Inversion' 1 1
if you do, delete the lines.. and delete /etc/pointercal.xinput and then reboot.
dont rung xinput from the preference menu as i think it breaks the calibration.
